FEMA HOSTS DRIVE-UP REGISTRATION INTAKE CENTER

FEMA is operating a drive-up registration intake center at the Jefferson Parish Health Unit – 1855 Ames Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072 – seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) mobilized its crisis response efforts to aid in Jefferson Parish business recovery.

Second Harvest Food Bank, along with District 4 Councilman Dominick Impastato, will be distributing supplies at Lafreniere Park on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, starting at 8:00 a.m.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED FOR THE EAST BANK OF JEFFERSON PARISH

In conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health, the Jefferson Parish Water Department is lifting the Boil Water Advisory for the East Bank of Jefferson Parish based on the restoration of pressure within the distribution system and the analysis of the bacteriological samples collected within the distribution system.

SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK SUPPLY DISTRIBUTION AT THE TERRYTOWN GOLDEN AGE CENTER ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2021

Starting now, Second Harvest Food Bank, along with Councilman-At-Large, Divison A, Ricky Templet and District 1 Councilman Marion Edwards, will be distributing supplies at the Terrytown Golden Age Center (604 Heritage Ave, Gretna, LA 70056) until supplies last.

HURRICANE IDA SURVIVORS MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR GENERATOR AND CHAINSAW REIMBURSEMENT

JEFFERSON, LA – Jefferson Parish residents who purchased or rented a generator and/or chainsaw as a result of Hurricane Ida may be eligible for FEMA reimbursement.

JEFFERSON PARISH TRANSIT LAUNCHES LIFELINE BUS SERVICE

JEFFERSON, LA – Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 7, 2021, Jefferson Parish Transit is launching a fare free bus service on limited routes to help residents get access to essential resources such as grocery stores, ice, water and shelters.

1,000 HOT MEALS AVAILABLE TONIGHT AT 6PM AT LAFRENIERE PARK

Councilman from District 4, Dominick Impastato has partnered with Carrabba’s Italian Grill and Red Cross to provide 1,000 hot meals for drive-thru pick up tonight at Lafreniere Park – 3000 Downs Blvd. Metairie, LA 70003, starting at 6:00 p.m.
