The Jefferson Parish council will hold a special meeting on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. at the Joseph S. Yenni Building, 1221 Elmwood Park Boulevard, Jefferson, 70123.

FREE COVID-19 TESTING IN JEFFERSON PARISH NEXT WEEK (SEPT. 21 – SEPT. 25)

The Alario Center COVID-19 drive-thru testing site will be open next week from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. daily (except Sundays).

LANE CLOSURES: WEST ESPLANADE AVENUE & PAPWORTH AVENUE

Starting Thursday, September 17, 2020, the right eastbound lane of W. Esplanade Ave. and the southbound lane of Papworth Ave. will be closed.

JEFFERSON TRANSIT USES NANOSEPTIC AND UVC LIGHTS TO DISINFECT BUSES

Jefferson Transit (JeT) is using nanotechnology-powered self-cleaning “skins” to cover high-touch surfaces on the buses, in addition to PURO, which is new ultraviolet disinfection system that uses UVC light to help fight against viruses and bacteria.

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA – Mayor of Jean Lafitte Tim Kerner, Jr. and Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng have issued a mandatory evacuation for the town of Jean Lafitte, Lower Lafitte, Crown Point and Barataria due to Tropical Storm Sally.
