Bids will be accepted through Central Bidding or manual submission. Manually-submitted bids can be delivered to either Purchasing office location; however, if submitting bids on the day of the bid opening, bidders must submit at the West Bank location. Advertised bids will be received until 2 p.m. The bid opening teleconference will begin at 2:30 p.m. on each bid opening date.

In an effort to enhance services to our vendor community, the Purchasing Department now has an East Bank location in the Joseph S. Yenni Building, 1221 Elmwood Park Blvd., Suite 404, Jefferson, LA 70123.
Both locations' office hours are:
8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
Bidders submitting bids on the day of bid opening must do so at the West Bank location only.  Bids received at the East Bank location on the same day as bid opening will be deemed non-responsive.

The mission of the Purchasing Department is to provide central procurement services for all Parish departments’ requests for services, equipment, supplies, and public works projects. Our goal is to procure quality products using cost effective and transparent methods and to ensure compliance with Jefferson Parish’s codified Uniform Purchasing Procedures and Louisiana Public Bid Law. Our mission is to continue to serve Parish citizens, vendors and employees with excellent customer service while fostering open and fair competition.

Doing Business with Jefferson Parish

Effective June 1, 2017, bidders may no longer submit bid responses via facsimile, as some bid solicitations provide.  Vendors responding to bid solicitations may only submit via USPS, courier service, hand delivery or via online by registering free of charge at  www.jeffparishbids.net or by clicking on the E-Procurement System tab of this page.  Effective August 1, 2016, bidders will be required to submit certain documentation with bid submission, i.e. affidavits, proof of insurance, etc. These requirements will be outlined specifically in the instructions of each bid package. Bidders should continue to carefully read and respond accordingly per the requirements of the bid packages. These changes are pursuant Louisiana Public Bid Law more specifically, Act 406 of the 2016 Louisiana Legislative Regular Session.
