JEAN LAFITTE BLVD. IN THE TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE CLOSED FOR THE NEXT 2 HOURS

According to Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joe Lopinto, Jean Lafitte Boulevard in the Town of Jean Lafitte will be closed until around 2:30 p.m. to make room for a military convoy. No vehicular traffic will be allowed through.

The Jefferson Parish Water Department is issuing a Boil Water Advisory for Grand Isle and the entire West Bank of Jefferson Parish including Westwego due to the anticipated loss of pressure in the distribution system.

Curbside garbage collection will be suspended until Wednesday, September 1, 2021 due to the mandatory curfew and the need to make sure that all roads are passable.

JEFFERSON, LA – Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng has called for a mandatory curfew for all of Jefferson Parish, which will be in effect from 6 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 until at least 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021.
