JEFFERSON PARISH OFFICES CLOSED ON MONDAY, FEB. 12 AND TUESDAY, FEB. 13, 2024, IN OBSERVANCE OF LUNDI GRAS AND MARDI GRAS

All Jefferson Parish Government offices will be closed on Monday, February 12 and Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in observance of the Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras holiday.

JEFFERSON PARISH TO HOST HEAD START PROGRAM JOB FAIR EVENT

The Jefferson Parish Personnel Department, in conjunction with the Jefferson Parish’s Head Start Program, will be hosting an informational job fair for all people interested in learning about job opportunities with Head Start.

LANE CLOSURE: NORTHBOUND AMES BOULEVARD

Starting Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 7 a.m., the right lane of northbound Ames Boulevard between Belle Terre Road and Lapalco Boulevard will be closed.

EASTBOUND JEFFERSON HIGHWAY BETWEEN CENTRAL AVENUE AND SHREWSBURY ROAD TO REOPEN TODAY AT 5 P.M.

All three lanes of Eastbound Jefferson Highway between Central Avenue and Shrewsbury Road will reopen to vehicular traffic today (Wednesday, February 7, 2024) at 5 p.m.

CURBSIDE RECYCLING SERVICE WILL NOT RESUME FOR UNINCORPORATED JEFFERSON PARISH AND THE TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE

At today’s Jefferson Parish Council Meeting (on Wednesday, February 7, 2024), it was determined that recycling will not resume for unincorporated Jefferson Parish and the Town of Jean Lafitte.

On Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, one northbound and one southbound lane of Severn Ave., between 17th St. and 18th St. will be closed between the hours of 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., weather permitting.
