Due to the absence of a number of council members, the Jefferson Parish Council Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the General Government Building, 2nd floor Council Chambers (200 Derbigny St., Gretna, LA 70053) has been cancelled.
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Jefferson Parish effective tomorrow (Tuesday, June 27, 2023) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, the left lane of westbound Veterans Boulevard at Lake Avenue will be closed.
Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, the inner westbound lane of West Metairie Ave., between Phlox Ave. and Haring Rd., will be closed. Motorists will merge to the available lane for travel.
