Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards has extended the statewide mask mandate through October 27, 2021 to further slow the spread of COVID-19 following the state’s worst surge of the pandemic.
LAFRENIERE PARK REOPENS ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 2021
Lafreniere Park will reopen to the public on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 6 a.m. Due to lighting damage as a result of Hurricane Ida, the park will close at 7 p.m. every day.

The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) received federal approval to begin Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (DSNAP) operations to provide additional food aid to families impacted by Hurricane Ida.
