JEFFERSON, LA – The Jefferson Parish Council has unanimously approved an agreement for LCMC Health to acquire East Jefferson General Hospital (EJGH). LCMC Health and EJGH recently reached a definitive agreement for LCMC Health to acquire the hospital, which was approved by both organizations’ Boards of Trustees.

“We are absolutely heartbroken to hear that our former colleague and former Jefferson Parish Council Chairman Chris Roberts has passed away. He was a truly dedicated public servant, with a career spanning over two decades. He made a lasting impact throughout Jefferson Parish, serving on the Jefferson Parish school board and then the Jefferson Parish council. Our thoughts and condolences are with Mr. Robert’s family, loved ones and former colleagues, as well as the citizens of Jefferson Parish, during this difficult time.”

JEFFERSON, LA – The Jefferson Parish Library will be distributing the IRS 1040 tax forms and instruction booklets at all Jefferson Parish libraries this tax season.
