The 5th Annual Mardi Gras 5K & Kids' Half Mile, produced by the New Orleans Track Club, will take place in Metairie on Saturday, February 19, 2022 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The Pontiff Playground dog park will be closed from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 due to track refurbishment.

JEFFERSON PARISH HOSTS PUBLIC MEETINGS TO COLLECT INPUT FOR THE INDUSTRIAL ZONING DISTRICT STUDY AND FRAMEWORK REPORT
The Jefferson Parish Planning Department, with the assistance of Camiros, a planning and zoning consulting firm, is hosting two public meetings to solicit input on the Jefferson Parish Industrial Zoning District Study and Framework Report, which will update the Parish’s regulations related to industrial districts.
PONTIFF PLAYGROUND WALKING TRACK CLOSED DUE TO RESEALING
Starting on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, the walking track at Pontiff Playground will be closed due to resealing.
LANE CLOSURE: WEST METAIRIE AVENUE
Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2022, one eastbound lane of West Metairie Ave. (closest to the canal) between Zinnia Ave. and Phlox Ave. will be closed.

On Saturday, Feb. 5, volunteers and officials from throughout Jefferson Parish and the region joined forces for the 32nd annual Jefferson Parish Coastal Treecycling Event in Lafitte, LA.

On Tuesday, February 8, 2022 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., one eastbound lane of Lapalco Blvd. at the Bayou Segnette Bridge will be closed.
