METAIRIE ROAD AND NORTH LABARRE ROAD TO CLOSE FOR RAILROAD CROSSING REPLACEMENT

Starting Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Norfolk Southern Railroad will begin the first phase of construction on its Back Belt rail line with the replacement of two Metairie railroad crossings.

Aerial spraying, in response to mosquito activity, is scheduled to take place on the East and West Banks of Jefferson Parish on the evening of Tuesday, October 25, 2022, over parts of Metairie, Kenner, Jefferson, River Ridge, Harahan, Crown Point, Lafitte, Barataria, Westwego, Bridge City, Gretna, Harvey and Terrytown, weather conditions permitting.
