JEFFERSON PARISH TO CONDUCT AERIAL SPRAYING FOR MOSQUITOS ON SATURDAY, JULY 1, 2023
Aerial spraying, in response to mosquito activity, is scheduled to take place on the East Bank of Jefferson Parish on the evening of Saturday, July 1, 2023, over parts of Metairie, weather permitting.

Due to the absence of a number of council members, the Jefferson Parish Council Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the General Government Building, 2nd floor Council Chambers (200 Derbigny St., Gretna, LA 70053) has been cancelled.
EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING ISSUED FOR JEFFERSON PARISH ON TUESDAY
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for Jefferson Parish effective tomorrow (Tuesday, June 27, 2023) from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
LANE CLOSURE: WESTBOUND VETERANS BOULEVARD AT LAKE AVENUE
Starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, the left lane of westbound Veterans Boulevard at Lake Avenue will be closed.
LANE CLOSURE: WEST METAIRIE AVENUE
Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, the inner westbound lane of West Metairie Ave., between Phlox Ave. and Haring Rd., will be closed. Motorists will merge to the available lane for travel.

The 2023 Jefferson Parish Senior Citizen Exposition will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Alario Center (2000 Segnette Blvd., Westwego, LA 70094).
