NOTED SALVADORAN CHILDREN'S BOOKS AUTHOR TO GIVE FREE BILINGUAL READING AT EAST BANK REGIONAL LIBRARY
Jorge Argueta, a Salvadoran award-winning poet and author of many highly acclaimed bilingual children's books and short stories, will perform a bilingual storytime at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at the East Bank Regional Library, 4747 W. Napoleon Ave., Metairie.

JEFFERSON PARISH HOSTS PUBLIC MEETINGS TO COLLECT INPUT ON REVISED DRAFT INDUSTRIAL ZONING REGULATIONS & PROPOSED ZONING MAP
The Jefferson Parish Planning Department, with the assistance of planning and zoning consulting firm Camiros, will be hosting two public meetings to solicit input on the revised draft industrial zoning regulations, which will update the Parish’s regulations related to industrial zoning districts.
BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED FOR EAST BANK OF JEFFERSON PARISH
In conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health, the Jefferson Parish Water Department is lifting the Boil Water Advisory for the entire east bank of Jefferson Parish based on the analysis of the bacteriological samples collected within the distribution system on June 9, 2023.

In conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), the Jefferson Parish Water Department issued a Boil Water Advisory for the east bank of Jefferson Parish on Thursday, June 8, 2023 as a precautionary measure due to a loss of pressure in the distribution system due to repeated power surges and outages at the water treatment plant.
