PARK CLOSURES DUE TO JEAN LAFITTE SEAFOOD FEST

All programs and use of amenities at Estelle Playground, Parc des Familles, Rose Thorne Playground and Jean Lafitte library will be suspended starting on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., until Monday, June 28, 2021 to assist with parking and shuttle service to and from the Jean Lafitte Seafood Festival.

The Jefferson Parish Department of Property Maintenance Zoning Quality of Life conducted a sweep on the Westbank in Council District 1 on Thursday, June 17, 2021.

According to the National Weather Service, Invest 92-L has become Potential Tropical Cyclone Three. Heavy rainfall could occur as early as Friday afternoon through the weekend with rainfall totals of 6 to 10 inches, 1 to 3 feet of coastal flooding and 30 – 45 mph wind gust.
