JEFFERSON PARISH DRAINAGE DEPARTMENT LAUNCHES CANAL BANK MAINTENANCE MAP

The Jefferson Parish Drainage Department has launched a new Canal Bank Maintenance Map which provides the public with updates on when grass along canal tops and slopes on the East Bank and West Bank is scheduled to be mowed.

JPRD ANNOUNCES 2023 PARC DES FAMILLES SPRAY PARK SCHEDULE

The Parc des Familles Spray Park is now open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

ROAD CLOSURE: CLEARVIEW PARKWAY BETWEEN ARGONNE STREET AND WEST NAPOLEON AVENUE 

Starting Friday, April 14, 2023 at 9 p.m., the southbound left lane and the northbound left lane of Clearview Parkway between Argonne Street and West Napoleon Avenue will be closed continuously.

JEFFERSON PARISH CLOSED FRIDAY, APRIL 7, 2023 IN OBSERVANCE OF GOOD FRIDAY

All Jefferson Parish Government offices, including all Jefferson Parish libraries and Jefferson Protection & Animal Welfare Services (JPAWS), will be closed on Friday, April 7, 2023. Programming at Jefferson Parish Parks & Recreation Department (JPRD) parks and playgrounds (not including Lafreniere Park or Parc des Familles) will be suspended on Friday in observance of the Good Friday holiday and will resume normal operations on Saturday, April 8, 2023.

JEFFERSON COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAMS TO HOST HEAD START BIRTH TO FIVE PROGRAM REGISTRATION OUTREACH EVENTS FOR 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR

Starting tomorrow (April 5, 2023), Jefferson Community Action Programs (JeffCAP) will host Head Start Birth to Five Program Registration Outreach Events to help families register for Head Start and Early Head Start for the 2023-2024 school year.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY LIFTED FOR GRAND ISLE BETWEEN IBERVILLE LANE AND ROSETHORN LANE

In conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health, the Jefferson Parish Water Department is lifting the Boil Water Advisory for the area in Grand Isle between Iberville Lane and Rosethorn Lane based on the analysis of the bacteriological samples collected within the distribution system on March 29, 2023. 

JEFFERSON PARISH ISSUES BOIL WATER ADVISORY FOR PARTS OF GRAND ISLE DUE TO LOSS OF WATER PRESSURE FROM DAMAGED FIRE HYDRANT

In conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), the Jefferson Parish Water Department is issuing a Boil Water Advisory for a portion of Grand Isle located between Iberville Lane and Rosethorn Lane due to a loss of pressure in the distribution system while fire hydrants were being repaired and replaced. Customers will need to boil their water as a precaution until this boil water advisory has been rescinded.

JEFFERSON PARISH PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT (JPRD) TO LIVE-STREAM CHAMPIONSHIP TRACK MEET ON SATURDAY, APRIL 1, 2023

The Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation Department (JPRD) will hold its Championship Track Meet at the Joe Yenni Stadium (400 Phlox Ave, Metairie, LA 70001) on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

EASTER BUNNY BASH 2023 TO TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY, APRIL 1, 2023 AT LAFRENIERE PARK

The Dawn Busters Kiwanis Club of Metairie will be hosting the first-ever, Easter Bunny Bash on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Lafreniere Park (3000 Downs Blvd., Metairie, LA 70003) from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.

ROAD CLOSURE: HICKORY AVENUE BETWEEN SAUVE ROAD AND DOCK STREET

Starting tomorrow (Thursday, March 23, 2023), one southbound lane of Hickory Avenue between Sauve Road and Dock Street will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
