Starting Thursday, September 17, 2020, the right eastbound lane of W. Esplanade Ave. and the southbound lane of Papworth Ave. will be closed.

Jefferson Transit (JeT) is using nanotechnology-powered self-cleaning “skins” to cover high-touch surfaces on the buses, in addition to PURO, which is new ultraviolet disinfection system that uses UVC light to help fight against viruses and bacteria.

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA – Mayor of Jean Lafitte Tim Kerner, Jr. and Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng have issued a mandatory evacuation for the town of Jean Lafitte, Lower Lafitte, Crown Point and Barataria due to Tropical Storm Sally.

Starting Monday, September 14, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., the right northbound lane of Transcontinental Dr., approximately 300’ north from Park Dr. N., will be closed daily until 3:00 p.m.
