JNOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF UNINCORPORATED JEFFERSON PARISH AND THE TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE:

GARBAGE AND RECYCLING COLLECTION ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2020 SUSPENDED DUE TO TROPICAL STORM SALLY

JEFFERSON, LA – All curbside garbage and recycling services are cancelled on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 due to Tropical Storm Sally. All four Parish residential drop-off sites will also be closed due to the storm.

Residents are advised not to place their garbage cans and recycling bins at the curb for pick up. Garbage and recycling containers should be placed in a secure location away from open spaces.

Any bulk waste material such as furniture, tree limbs, grass clippings, scrap appliances, waste tires and construction debris should not be placed curbside for collection. Bulk waste should be secured in a safe location where debris cannot become hazardous to homes and vehicles in high winds.
