COVID-19 Drive-Through Testing Site Available to Any Symptomatic Individual 18+

JEFFERSON, LA – Drive-through COVID-19 testing is available daily at the Alario Center to any individual who is 18 years or older with symptoms, with a cap of 250 tests per day.

JEFFERSON, LA-Curbside recycling pick-up in Unincorporated Jefferson Parish and the town of Jean Lafitte is suspended until further notice, due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus throughout the metropolitan area.

The Jefferson Parish Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2020 is cancelled. As a government, we continue to make prudent decisions to safeguard our residents from community spread of COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the situation as we approach the next regularly scheduled council meeting, which is set for Wednesday, April 22.

JEFFERSON, LA – Governor John Bel Edwards issued a statewide Stay at Home order that goes into effect on Monday, March 23 at 5 p.m., to further fight the spread of COVID-19. All Jefferson Parish government buildings will be closed to the public beginning tomorrow; however, departments will continue to handle essential business by phone, email or by appointments on an as-needed basis.

JEFFERSON, LA – Through a pilot program with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), COVID-19 testing will be offered at the Alario Center Parking Lot, 2000 Segnette Blvd. Westwego, LA 70094, to individuals who meet specific criteria.
