UPDATED JEFFERSON PARISH CRS REPORTS

Jefferson Parish participates in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)’s Community Rating System (CRS). The CRS program rewards participating communities for implementing floodplain management activities that exceed the minimum requirements of the NFIP. These rewards are in the form of flood insurance discounts. Jefferson Parish communities see over $12 million in flood insurance savings annually through its CRS activities. Per CRS requirements, Jefferson Parish updates the following reports each year:

• Multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan – Annual Progress Report
  • Comprehensive plan that identifies practical, manageable mitigation strategies to be implemented to reduce Jefferson Parish’s risk to natural hazards
  • Available online at Hazard Mitigation Plan 2019 Annual Report

• Repetitive Loss Area Analysis (RLAA) Report
  • In-depth look at areas that have experienced multiple flood losses
  • Available online at RLAA 2019 Annual Report

• Multi-jurisdictional Program for Public Information – Annual Evaluation Report
  • Outreach strategy focusing on flood protection
  • Available online at Program for Public Information 2019 Annual Report
