NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF UNINCORPORATED
JEFFERSON PARISH AND THE TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE:

NO GARBAGE COLLECTION ON MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY;
CURBSIDE RECYCLING WILL TAKE PLACE AS SCHEDULED

JEFFERSON, LA – There will be no garbage collection on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, January 18, 2021. Residents that normally receive garbage pick-up on a Monday will not be picked-up until Thursday, January 21, 2021. There will be no make-up day for the missed garbage collection on January 18, 2021.

Curbside Recycling will take place as scheduled on Martin Luther King Day. Residents and small businesses regularly scheduled to have their recyclables collected on a Monday will still have their recyclables picked-up on Monday, January 18, 2021.

All four trash drop-off sites and the Jefferson Parish Landfill will be closed on Martin Luther King Day and will reopen on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. Residents wishing to dispose of garbage and trash between collections are reminded that all trash drop-off sites are currently open every Tuesday through Sunday, except for designated holidays, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., Central Standard Time.
