The Lafreniere Live Spring Concert Series is sponsored by Jefferson Parish and the Patrons of Lafreniere Park. Established on November 7, 1996, the Patrons are a group of prominent civic leaders and community activists who support the Park and continue to strive to meet the challenges of formulating additional ways to fundraise for the Park's ongoing development. Their support is appreciated in keeping Lafreniere Park as a key element of the quality of life in Jefferson Parish, 38 years in the making.

“Without the many events supported by the Patrons, such as the Spring Concert Series, Lafreniere Park may never have become the place that the community looks to for a few hours of relaxation, enjoying some physical activities or as a retreat back to nature right in its own backyard,” said Lafreniere Board Member Warren M. Surcouf III. “The efforts of the Patrons and its volunteers, evident years later, have had a profound impact on the Park. Lafreniere Park’s prestige in our community is significant, please come and join the fun and support your Park, the crown jewel of Jefferson Parish.”
