JEFFERSON TRANSIT LAUNCHES BUS TRACKER APP
JEFFERSON, LA – Jefferson Transit (JeT) is excited to announce the launch of the JeT Bus Tracker mobile app. Designed with passengers in mind, the customized app utilizes GPS technology to offer real-time scheduling data, stop times, integrated trip planning and tracking by text message to help riders better manage their time.
“One of our most valuable possessions is time and this technology allows our riders to save it,” said Jefferson Transit Director Ninette Barrios. “For families with children and our elderly population to be able to see our buses in real-time is a game changer, especially in the heat of the summer.”
“Innovation and efficiency has been a focus of my Administration because we want to take everything to the next level,” said Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng. “This new mobile app brings versatility to the transit system that wasn’t there before and offers people a way to take charge of their schedule, hopefully saving them time and money.”
The JeT Bus Tracker app is available now as a free download for iOS and Android devices by searching “JeT Bus Tracker” or on the Jefferson Transit website at jeffersontransit.org.
