JEFFERSON PARISH TO HOST PUBLIC HEARINGS FOR IMPLEMENTATION
OF PROPOSED TRANSIT ROUTE CHANGES AND SERVICE REDUCTIONS

JEFFERSON, LA – Jefferson Parish Transit will be hosting two public hearings to seek input from the public for the implementation of proposed Jefferson Parish Transit route changes and service reductions scheduled to take effect on Sunday, June, 4, 2023. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers of the Joseph S. Yenni Building (1221 Elmwood Park Blvd., Jefferson, LA 70123 – second floor). The second meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers of the General Government Building (200 Derbigny St., Gretna, LA 70053 – second floor).

For those in need of transportation to the public hearings, JP-Transit will be providing transportation from the East Bank and the West Bank from the following locations and times:

  • East Bank Public Meeting – Tuesday, May 2, 2023:
    • East Jefferson Hospital bus stop – 4:30 p.m.
    • East Bank Regional Library bus stop – 4:45 p.m.
  • West Bank Public Meeting – Wednesday, May 3, 2023:
    • Wilty Terminal – 4:45 p.m.
