FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JEFFERSON PARISH PLANNING DEPARTMENT TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS ONLINE

JEFFERSON, LA –  Jefferson Parish residents can now submit applications to the Planning Department online through the MyGovernmentOnline portal. This includes applications for re-subdividing and re-zoning property, site plan review, special permitted uses and applying for zoning determinations and zoning clearances. CLICK HERE for a video with more information on how to use this online resource.

“We are excited to take the Jefferson Parish Planning Department to the next level by launching this online planning tool which will make submitting applications much easier for our citizens,” said Director of Planning Bessie Martin.

This new feature is integrated with the existing Jefferson Parish Code Enforcement module which citizens can use to apply for permits. Both are now located on the homepage of the Jefferson Parish website for easy access. Residents must create an account at www.MyGovernmentOnline.org in order to submit applications. Once an account is created, please use your cursor to hover over the “Planning & Zoning” tab and select “Apply Online.” In the drop downs, select Country, State, Jurisdiction and Project Type, then click “next,” and select “Get Started on a New Application.” If there are any problems creating an online account, please call 1-866-957-3764, ext. 1 or visit www.mygovernmentonline.org/#contactus.
