JEFFERSON PARISH OFFICES CLOSED ON MONDAY, JAN. 17 IN OBSERVANCE OF MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. HOLIDAY
Garbage Will Not Be Collected in Unincorporated Jefferson Parish on Jan. 17;
Recycling will take place as scheduled

JEFFERSON, LA - All Jefferson Parish offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17, 2022 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday.

There will be no garbage collection on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Monday, Jan. 17) for residents of unincorporated Jefferson Parish. There will be no make-up day for the missed garbage pick-up on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; the next collection day for those scheduled to have garbage pick-up on Mondays will be will be Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022. All four Parish trash drop-off sites and the Jefferson Parish Landfill will be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and will reopen Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022. Additionally, COVID-19 testing at both Johnny Bright Playground and the Shrine on Airline will be closed Saturday, Jan. 15 – Monday, Jan. 17 and will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 9 a.m. Testing at the Alario Center will be closed Sunday, Jan. 16 - Monday, Jan. 17 and will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at 8 a.m. For more information about testing and vaccinations, visit COVID.JeffParish.net.
