JEFFERSON PARISH OFFICES CLOSED ON DEC. 23 & DEC. 24 IN OBSERVANCE OF CHRISTMAS
Garbage Will Not Be Collected in Unincorporated Jefferson Parish on Dec. 25;
Recycling will take place as scheduled

JEFFERSON, LA - All Jefferson Parish offices will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021 and Friday, Dec. 24, 2021 in observance of the Christmas holiday. There will be no garbage collection on Christmas Day (Saturday, Dec. 25) for residents of unincorporated Jefferson Parish.

There will be no make-up day for the missed garbage pick-up on Christmas Day; the next collection day for those scheduled to have garbage pick-up on Saturdays will be Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021. All four Parish trash drop-off sites and the Jefferson Parish Landfill will be closed on Christmas Day and will reopen Sunday, Dec. 26. Additionally, COVID testing at Johnny Bright Playground will be suspended from Thursday, Dec. 23 – Friday, Dec. 24 and COVID testing and vaccinations at the Alario Center will be suspended from Thursday, Dec. 23 – Monday, Dec. 27.
