JEFFERSON PARISH LAUNCHES COVID-19 DASHBOARD

JEFFERSON, LA – Jefferson Parish has launched an online dashboard to provide daily COVID-19 case numbers for the parish. This local dashboard includes data pulled from the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH). The new dashboard is available at covid.jeffparish.net individuals can also access the dashboard by clicking the link on the top of Jefferson Parish’s main website at www.jeffparish.net.

According to Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng, “We understand that access to timely and accurate information is critical, especially during this pandemic. This new dashboard will give our Jefferson Parish residents a closer look at the data that we receive from the Louisiana Department of Health. A special thanks to our Information Technology Department and GIS team for creating this."

The new Jefferson Parish dashboard includes the total number and daily number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Jefferson Parish, as well as the total amount of tests done in Jefferson Parish, hospital bed capacity, ICU capacity and ventilator capacity. This new dashboard also pulls data from the LDH dashboard to include a heat map of the parish along with a breakdown of positive cases by Census tract. The new Jefferson Parish dashboard will be updated every afternoon following the update to the LDH dashboard.
