JEFFERSON PARISH GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS OPEN ON THURSDAY, AUG. 27

Garbage/Recycling Collection and Transit Service to take place as scheduled

JEFFERSON, LA – Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng has announced all parish buildings will open on Thursday, August 27, 2020. This includes the Joseph S. Yenni Building, the General Government Building, Jefferson Parish Credit Union, Jefferson Parish libraries and all Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation activities.

Curbside garbage and recycling collection will take place on Thursday, Aug. 27; however, please be advised that residents may experience collection delays because of possible heavy rain and street flooding as a result of Hurricane Laura. As of today, all routes are running as scheduled.

Jefferson Transit will run its normal Thursday service, as long weather permits. To stay updated on additional changes in service and routes, visit www.jeffersontransit.org.
