JEFFERSON PARISH COUNCILMAN-AT-LARGE SCOTT WALKER LAUNCHES “OPERATION SHIELD”
Councilman-At-Large Scott Walker launched Operation Shield, a mission to #ShieldOurJPHeroes.  His company, Scott Walker Media, started things off by donating 75 face shields (3 boxes) to East Jefferson General Hospital - EJGH.  He is now challenging the public to get involved.  A box of 25 masks costs $150.  Dolph Federico, the owner of Pelican Events, has temporarily pivoted his business from producing festivals and other large-scale events to making these face shields.  In collaboration with MediaBlink to assist with PPE manufacturing, he's already donated hundreds of shields on his own and now we're aiming to make the impact greater.  Previous recipients of shields include: Ochsner, Touro, Tulane, LSP, Zuppardo's and more.  Email ShieldOurJPHeroes@gmail.com to tell us where you want your donation to go.  CLICK HERE for a video with more information.
