HOSTS GROUNDBREAKING FOR LAFRENIERE LIVING APARTMENT DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
METAIRIE, LA – Councilman Dominick F. Impastato, III, Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng and Jefferson Parish officials broke ground on a private investment project, called Lafreniere Living Apartment Development. The project is designed to bring 73 residential apartment units, 110 parking spaces and an enclosed dumpster room in the building with a trash chute. The development, which will take approximately 18 months for completion, includes both one and two bedroom units.
“Developers will spend $5.1 million to create a development known as Lafreniere Living Apartments, to help meet the ever-increasing demand for housing in Jefferson Parish,” District 4 Councilman Dominick F. Impastato, III announced today.
“This project will not only bring 73 new residential units to the neighborhood, but it also will also create permanent and temporary job opportunities. I expect the Lafreniere Living Apartment development will have a significant impact on the surrounding community. Strengthening the neighborhoods where we live and work is one of my top priorities,” said Councilman Dominick F. Impastato, III.
According to Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng, “I want to thank Councilman Dominick Impastato for his efforts to bring this development to District 4, as well as the developers, Dr. William Junius III and Dr. Michael Zeringue. I wish you success and I look forward to the completion of the Lafreniere Living Apartment Complex.”
The groundbreaking ceremony took place at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the site, which is located at 2900 Wytchwood Drive in Metairie. CLICK HERE to watch a video of the full ceremony.
