NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF UNINCORPORATED JEFFERSON PARISH AND THE TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE

Household Hazardous Materials Collection Event Scheduled for Saturday, November 14 is Cancelled

JEFFERSON, LA – The household hazardous waste collection event scheduled for Saturday November 14, 2020 in the Joseph S. Yenni Building parking lot has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing concerns.

Residents are encouraged to keep their unwanted household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, pool chemicals, rechargeable batteries, and other hazardous substances) until the next scheduled collection event, currently scheduled for the spring of 2021.

Residents can also bring materials (waste tires, automotive fluids, oil filters, e-waste, batteries, waste cooking oil, holiday lights and electronics) to the Drop-Off locations on the East Bank (400 David Drive) and West Bank (6440 Lapalco Blvd.).
