FREE COVID-19 TESTING IN JEFFERSON PARISH THIS WEEK (AUG. 31 – SEPT.6)

JEFFERSON, LA – The Alario Center COVID-19 drive-thru testing site is open every day this week, except on Tuesday, from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. This week’s hours are different because it is supported by the Louisiana Army National Guard and they are needed in the aftermath of Hurricane Laura. Individuals seeking a test at this site are encouraged to pre-register at www.DoINeedaCOVID19test.com. The Alario Center is located at 2000 Segnette Blvd, Westwego, LA 70094.

Jefferson Parish, in partnership with Ochsner Health, has also announced additional COVID-19 mobile testing to take place on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Please note that this testing schedule is subject to change due to weather:

Wednesday, September 2: Mel Ott Park Gym*
2301 Belle Chasse Pkwy.
Gretna, LA 70053
8 - 8:45 a.m. (ages 65+)
9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (ages 2+)

*This testing site will remain open until all 150 test kits per day have been utilized.
