EASTBOUND WEST ESPLANADE AVENUE, U-TURN AND RICHLAND AVENUE CLOSURE

JEFFERSON, LA – The left eastbound lane of West Esplanade Avenue, between Lake Villa Drive and Cleary Avenue, as well as the U-Turn on West Esplanade Avenue, between Richland Avenue and Cleary Avenue, will be closed starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2024, weather permitting.

In addition, there will be a total closure of Richland Avenue between West Esplanade Avenue and Haddon Street starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 until 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2024, weather permitting. To detour, motorists should take a right on Cleary Avenue from West Esplanade Avenue and a right on Haddon Street to go back to Richland Avenue.

This closure is necessary to clean, video and line a 42 inch drain line outfall at a cost of $212,686. For more information, contact Dominick Ditcharo in the Drainage Department at (504) 437-4959.
