NOTICE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF JEFFERSON PARISH AND THE TOWN OF JEAN LAFITTE:

DAVID DRIVE TRASH DROP-OFF SITE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

JEFFERSON, LA – The David Drive Trash Drop-Off site will be closed until further notice because of safety concerns from a downed power line due to Hurricane Zeta. Residents may utilize the following drop-off locations to dispose of household trash, garbage and storm debris (all sites are currently open from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. ; starting on Sunday, the sites will be open from 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.):

Marrero Drop-Off Site
6440 Lapalco Blvd.
entrance on Betty Blvd.

Meadowbrook Drop-Off Site
484 Wall Blvd., Gretna
one block south of Lapalco

The Citizens Trash Drop-Off site located at the Jefferson Parish Landfill also accepts municipal garbage and trash from residences and businesses in Jefferson Parish. Operating Hours are Monday – Saturday from 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Please note that the landfill cannot accept discarded appliances, tires, electronics or liquid wastes including paint. For safety considerations, residents should only use the containers at the Citizens’ Dump area (ramp), not the landfill working area. The landfill working area is not designed or constructed for personal vehicles.
